Looking good. Got a call from my engine guy and he had some good news and some bad news. It appears the last guy I had build my motor really f'd some things up. He came recommended by several people and seemed like a decent fella. He runs a comp eliminator car and has a shop here in Milwaukee so I assumed he was good. Well guess what!! When he set this motor up he failed to verify that the lifters would clearance the block as they rode the cam. well the lock bars were resting on top of the lifter bosses and as they rode down the heel of the cam they were not even touching the cam!!! WTF!!! They wore a 1/16" groove all along the top. So needless to say that motor was never reaching its full potential!! That was the worst I guess besides the .060" he shaved from my heads yet he left the pistons in the hole .060"..... So putting a much bigger cam now there maybe issues with the amount I can fly cut the pistons. These pistons are like new with less than 60 passes on them. Ya know sometimes one is just better off doing things yourself!!!
But I feel the motor is in good hands now so should be much better this time out. Will def be making lots more power with the new cam and the bump in compression. Looking forward to the 17th of April for sure... Lets pray for a really warm day!!!

Not a problem jim galto is a good guy. he also is coming out with his car for the season.built ford tough with chevy stuff in his pit.I was supposed to race the full season last year but could'nt get the car right. with jims help i should be over 750hp on pump gas ,single carb. NO POWER ADDERS ,we are about to go to the dyno with the small block in a week.

I think it is gonna happen! Dont think i'll make the first race though, that'll be really rushing it, but who knows. Smallest (one of) cubic inch motor car wants to play with the big boys!
